For A Sweeter Salad Dressing, Add One Unexpected Ingredient

Adding applesauce to your salad dressing is as easy as scooping a tablespoon or two of the fruity sauce and adding it to your vinaigrette mixture. However, thanks to a tip shared by Oliver, a Columbia University graduate student on TikTok, you can simplify this preparation even more by sticking to just three ingredients – olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and applesauce. For a perfect balance of these three elements, try using a 1:1 ratio for oil and vinegar, then add a few tablespoons of apple.

The best thing about this recipe is how versatile it is, so feel free to add or subtract any ingredients to your liking. Add more vinegar for a tangier feel or more apple for a sweeter kick. Finally, add water, then stir to combine or give it a good shake in a mason jar until combined. Then your sweet dressing is ready to add to any salad you like.
